Bhagwan Marine Showcases Brisbane Operations

Bhagwan Marine recently welcomed a group of Shaw and Partners clients to its Brisbane operations, providing investors with a first-hand look at Bhagwan Marine's Queensland Marine Solutions business and Riverside Industrial Sands (RIS).

The site visit was hosted by Anthony Wooles (Executive Chairman), Andrew Wackett (Executive Director Finance), Callum Campbell (General Manager, Riverside Industrial Sands) and Kevin Clifford (General Manager – Operations East Coast).

Together, Bhagwan Marine's Queensland Marine Solutions business and RIS contribute approximately one-fifth of Group EBITDA and occupy leading market positions with attractive long-term growth opportunities.

Bhagwan Marine's Queensland Marine Solutions Business

Investors toured Bhagwan Marine's strategically located Queensland Marine Solutions facility on the Brisbane River, showcasing the Company's broad marine capabilities and diverse service offering across ports, marine infrastructure and industrial markets. The facility's proximity to the Port of Brisbane supports long-term customer relationships and provides an operational advantage in servicing both contract and spot work.

Management discussed the favourable outlook for Queensland's marine services sector, supported by population growth, infrastructure investment and activity associated with the Brisbane Olympics. The business operates in a market with relatively limited competition, supporting disciplined pricing and attractive industry fundamentals.

Riverside Industrial Sands (RIS)

The visit to RIS showcased why the business is regarded as a quality infrastructure asset. As the largest supplier of construction sand within 30 kilometres of the Brisbane CBD, RIS benefits from a strategically located riverfront operation adjacent to major customers, purpose-built dredging assets, long-standing customer relationships and significant barriers to entry.

Its location provides a structural freight cost advantage over inland quarries reliant on road transport, while high-quality river and bay sand offers performance advantages in concrete production. Long-term customer supply agreements underpin a resilient business model, and management highlighted the significant long-life resource supporting the business and its opportunity to grow alongside Brisbane's expanding population and infrastructure pipeline.

Strategic Fit

A key theme throughout the day was the strategic fit between Bhagwan Marine and RIS. The close proximity of their Brisbane operations highlighted practical opportunities for collaboration following the acquisition, including Bhagwan Marine's national fleet, marine expertise and logistics capability supporting RIS's future growth, expanded East Coast distribution and further operational efficiencies.

Being on the ground gives you a real appreciation for the quality of both businesses, the growth opportunities ahead, and how well the teams are already working together. — Andrew Wackett, Executive Director Finance

The Brisbane site visit reinforced Bhagwan Marine's strategy of building a diversified marine services group with leading positions in attractive niche markets. Investors saw first-hand how the acquisition of RIS broadens the Group's earnings base and supports the Company's ability to deliver sustainable earnings growth over the long term.
